I attended a Thanksgiving service where I heard a preacher for the first time. He had another sermon planned but God told him to preach on bad boys. What?! I love when a preacher listens to the Holy Spirit and preaches from the heart.
The message began by reading Luke 18: 1, “Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.” The parable of the persistent widow was told and the judge was a bad boy. Like the widow, we have no idea who the Lord is going to send our blessing through. It may be the bad boys. A blessing was brought to Moses by a bad boy, Pharaoh. Into his sermon, I remember saying, in my heart, "God, are you talking to me?" Honestly I never gave it another thought but was intrigued that I had never thought about bad boys bringing the blessing. Romans 8: 28, "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." God has the wisdom and power to use the bad guys to bring the good guys blessings in whatever way fits His plan.
