All Coming At Me

I got to the pool and someone was using the first lane so I got in the third. Immediately another swimmer came so I moved over to the second. God knew my thoughts: I don't like this. I like to have the whole pool to myself. I feel like people are coming at me from both sides! God reminded me of staying in my lane and staying focused ahead. I began focusing on Him, thanking Him for my many blessings and I forgot all that was going on around me.

That really is like life. We have challenging seasons and some last a long time and others don't. But the best way to get through these seasons are to look ahead and keep focused on God. He will love us, guide us, comfort us and give us peace. All the while we can thank Him because that is when we grow in Him. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus."

1 Peter 5: 7, "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." I believe what we don't deal with in life will eventually deal with us. Psalm 56: 8, "Record my misery; list my tears on your scroll are they not in your record?" God is our safe place and He loves us so much. "He has bottled up every fallen tear so that He can water the harvest of your future." And that is why we thank Him for the hard times!
